Help logitech pro 5000 problems. crashing and restarting computer?

hi i purchased a logitech pro 5000 webcam not so long ago it cost me £50 and i am having trouble with it. I can get it working when i plug it into an old slow speed usb port but when i plug it into a high speed port, it just keeps resetting my computer i have tried uninstalling it and deleting all the software and drivers several times incase of any conflicting devices, but still no success it works ok in slow ports but very poor quality of speed. my friend has same cam and his works fine on his comp very good quality.


but i dont want to continue using it through slow as i paid £50 for a good camera and i want to get the full potential out of it any advice would be brilliant thanks!!

Help logitech pro 5000 problems. crashing and restarting computer?
Hi I have a Logitech Pro 5000 webcam right now. I didn't pay that much as you did, here in the states CompUSA was going out of business and I bought mine for $ 36. Anyhow, my unit works fine. So your problem might be a virus or something your computer may have picked up. Get PC Tools/Spyware Doctor and see if you find a prob. It's probably not the Logitech. As long as you are running Windows ME,2000, XP or even Vista. This version is compatible with all mentioned above. That computer restarting sounds like a virus/trojan. If so and it's already in the computer no amount of so called virus removers/checkers will help elliminate. I have found through recent personal experience, at times like this, send that restore disc through and start from scratch. Or (in my case and many more like me, it's C:\FDisc and then put that full install of windows back in). But before you go ahead and format/ erase everything, go to www.logitech.com and see if they can help.
Reply:looks like your usb 2.0 high speed port (hardware) is not working properly or conflicting with any other devices. power off the computer and try removing usb slot from the computer mother board and before doing it, make sure you uninstalled all the drivers for USB and install the hardware(i mean USB 2.0) and start the computer and don't connect your webcam immediately. now you have to rember one thing here you should not choose to install any USB drivers from windows update.by default after you turn on the computer you should see the USB drivers installed via plug and play setup.now connect the webcam and make sure you select update the driver for USB2.0 and select the driver from the CD by choosing advanced option and restart the computer.

Yes it probably does give you a small amount of money for joining, but like many other sites (ones you take surveys) You can only do certain ones, and you can only get paid after you earn so much money, unless you have a paypal account. Also If it asks you for money up front you know it's a scam.

You do not need a business account, the only time you need a business account is if you want to do re-occurring payments or high volume $10,000+ a month.





If your payments that you receive are frequent paypal probably wont ask for more info, if however you shoot up to $4000 a month then they will probably ask for more id.

one word SCAM. its like watching tv and u you see old dudes talking about how they made millions doing some sort of at-home based company, when in truth they have made millions by selling the "at home starter kits" they talk about.





Most shared profit companies use a type of networking scam or pyramid scam. so when they say they split the profits the people at the top of the pyramid are making more money off of you. Pyramid scams are ilegal now but they always find a way around the law

Based on the way it is set up, you won't make a decent amount of money until you reach the 8th, 9th and 10th tiers of friends. What this means, is you must invite a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend who invites a friend. Those invited friends way down on the bottom tiers are where the real money comes from. Unfortunately for you, it's not likely you'll ever reach that point. Most people who join Yuwie never make enough money for payout, or if they do it's not very much. Very few make a decent amount, and most of those people joined a while ago, which has allowed them enough time to reach those bottom tiers.

Reply:Most definitely... It will take some time and effort on your part. In order to make any significant money, it requires that you do two things:





1) Recruit Users into Yuwie - This is done using a specific link for a person to join Yuwie under your profile. (i.e. My link is listed below as a source)





2) Build your friends within Yuwie - You must have thousands of page views a day in order to make any significant money, and millions per day in order for you to make enough money to be considered a top earner - (this can lead to a six-figure or seven-figure income if you're good enough at getting people to visit your profile).





Your earnings are based on 10 levels of referrals, and you get a specific percentage of the earnings that Yuwie gets from the advertisments that are viewed... Specific numbers can be shown by clicking on the resource link, since it will show you all of the tutorial movies before you get to the account creation screen...





It is a good concept. Basically, MySpace and Facebook make millions of dollars each year by putting advertisements in your profile that other users click on. However, you didn't ask for those advertisments, and get no benefit from them even though your extremely numerous friends list is benefiting them directly. Technically speaking, Yuwie does pay it's users, but how much it pays you depends on how active you are on the site and how active your referrals are. The source of your money really comes from how many referrals you have and how many referrals your own referrals get and so on, and that's why you got an invite to Yuwie; it was just a user trying to get referrals. There is 10 level of referrals which give you a % of how much you earn at each level. Yuwie does have just about everything you can find on a normal networking site like being able to upload photos, videos, and groups/clubs. Yuwie is not so much of a scam as it just paints the picture a lot brighter than it really is. Some people are lucky enough to get checks that are like $30 a month, but most only make about $2-$5 a month. If you're already on networking sites a lot then you might as well join and once you earn $25 (however long it takes you) they'll send you a check in the mail, but if you're not really on the internet a lot then you probably don't want to bother. And it is not a pyramid scheme because people don't pay to join and if you join now, you could have more referrals under you than someone that joined 4 months ago. Basically facebook walls and groups are being spammed with links to this site, saying if you sign up and refer people, you get paid. But i signed up and it didn't ask me how i'd like to be paid (like through paypal or anything) so has anyone else heard of this? Is it real? They say they pay you from advertisers on their site...?

Each month Yuwie updates your earnings, they normally would pay-out at $50, but now they dropped it down to $25. So once your account reaches $25 they'll pay you. I signed up a while back, you get money by just doing normal things like having people add you as a friend. The catch is that it pays very little and you need to reach a minimum before you can cash out. Honestly, I know quite a few people who have signed up and none have ever cashed out yet, and I dont even use the site anymore,. To be honest I think its a waste of time.

Its a time waster and im sure you can find a better way to spend your time than yuwie. He tried to recruit me and i refrained because it seemed so pyramid scammish. But honestly its hard to get to the top of any pyramid.. Look at the pyramid you are very likely in now.. Your Job.

yuwie is a website where you can earn money just by surfing their site and other people's profiles. you also earn $ by having people invited by you, others check out your site, you check out other people's site and much more. just check out the help desk so it can explain it to you.





i'm on yuwie but my honest opinion is that you dont really earn as much as you would like unless you have all the time in the world to play on it. i rather play on myspace. but that's just me...

It appears to be a social network similar to my space etc. It looks legitimate, it seems like an advertising gimmick which can earn you a lirttle bit. I would not expect to retire of your profits though.

From what I'm reading, it a pyramid scam. You sign up for the site, then send ton of spam to everone you can, and if they sign up then you get paid. However you run the risk of being labled as a spammer on message boards and by your email provider, which could result in you losing your account with those companies.
